I’m Vicki, a Fractional Operations and Delivery Partner for growth-focused service businesses. I work with founders who have real momentum, brilliant ideas, and not enough hours in the day to turn either into results.
I sit at the intersection of strategy and execution. I can think with you, help you decide what matters, build the plan and then make it happen. Think of me as your wing-woman: the person in your corner who’s as invested in your success as you are, and who knows how to get things across the line.
I’ve spent 25 years across tech and service businesses, always being the person who brings order to complexity, structure to chaos, and delivery to ideas that deserve to actually happen.
I’ve always been wired this way.
My first job was at the village library when I was ten. I was in my element. The process of stamping out books, filing cards, bringing order to the shelves. That’s not just a cute story. It’s who I am. I’ve always been someone who finds deep satisfaction in making things work properly.
That instinct followed me into a 20-year career in corporate IT, where I was consistently the person people came to when things were messy, complex, or stalled. Untangling workflows, building systems, getting projects back on track. I didn’t just do these things, I thrived on them.
In 2020 I made a move away from corporate and into the world of female-founded service businesses, spending four years inside a scaling leadership and coaching business working closely with ambitious founders. That’s where everything clicked.
How to build a plan from a strategy and actually deliver it. How to choose the right tech for a small business rather than a corporation. How much automation is useful versus overwhelming. How operations need to flex as the business changes. All while keeping an exceptional client experience at the centre of everything.
Blackbird Eleven launched in August 2024, not as a career change, but as the natural next step. Finally doing the thing I’d always done, for exactly the people I wanted to help.
Beyond the business.
I’m a mum, a wife, and a friend. Outside work you’ll find me reading, lifting weights, or attempting crochet with varying degrees of success.
Music is my happy place. I love to sing, and I get to share that joy as the leader of my school’s Glee Club. There’s nothing quite like watching children discover their voices and grow in confidence. It’s a reminder that the best results come when someone believes in you and gives you the right structure to flourish. Which, now I think about it, is pretty much what I do for my clients too.
